‘Witch Hunt’... is arguably a piece designed to appeal to saxophonists, full of syncopated rhythms and opportunities for technical exploration which the musicians tonight approached with aplomb. Evocative of what we expect of film music, this is an ambitious piece which seemed to come together nicely in tonight’s performance. Quite a blast to end the first set...

This is a modern piece with some very subtle nuances. You need to listen to understand. Enjoy

Sibelius Music Composing and Arranging Competition
What a cool piece! It gripped me as soon as I heard it and I have even asked the composer to arrange it for sax/piano. It is fun, catchy and unpretentious - just as music in this genre should be.

A real creative talent... A very impressive composition with lots of rhythmic drive and very pleasing to listen to.

The funky, witty, teasing mood of the Schultheiss was pitched to perfection by Ogden and McChrystal. Suffice it to say that I joined the queue for PluckBlow's CD ... straight after the concert! PluckBlow at St David's Hall, Cardiff (UK) featuring Ulrich Schultheiss' No Rest

Wow! All I can say is to expect more good works of art from Mr. Schultheiss. All his pieces are rhythmically diverse which is a standard for a percussionist as myself. And the melodies are always jammin'. Check out his other works, especially Witch Hunt. Great Work!

Geoff Kerns review at SibeliusMusic.com
I loved it. This piece is tremendous fun. I was dancing at my computer. The piece is wonderfully inventive, with a great sense of humour and delightful rhythm and orchestral textures. It has that "Christmas morning" effect of all good variation-style pieces that delight both in the "unwrapping" of the passage in progress and in the anticipation of the next variation. THANKS! Great! This score is absolutely fabulous! It's very strong, forceful and clever. The different parts blend together wonderfully! I've loved all of this composer's work and think they're all excellent, top quality pieces! An Academy Award Winning Composer!
